Our family is big granola lovers, whether regular granola like this, or granola bars, in all these years they still beg for it! Looking to swap out the store bought ones with extra junk, we started learning how to make our own and surprised how simple it is!
This granola recipe is a staple in our household, everyone loves it and asks for it weekly!
makes roughly 5 cups
What you need:
3.25 cups rolled oats
½ cup peanut butter creamy
½ cup honey
3 tablespoons coconut oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
⅓ cup chocolate chips
⅓ cup shredded coconut sweetened
What you gotta do:
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 325 F degrees.
In a bowl whisk together rolled oats and cinnamon powder. Set aside.
In a pan combine together peanut butter, honey, vanilla and coconut oil.
Put this pan on medium heat stirring continuously till it all forms a smooth mixture.
Pour this mixture over the oats and mix till all oats are moistened.
Spread the oats on to the baking sheet in a single layer.
Bake at 325 F degrees for around 30 minutes, stirring the oats after every 10 minutes.
After 30 minutes take the granola out of then oven and allow it to cool for an hour.
Add the chocolate chips and shredded coconut and give a final mix.
Store the granola in an airtight container.
